The Carriage House, a country style bed & breakfast, was built in the early 1920’s and is recognized as a designated landmark. We are located just one mile south of downtown Laguna Beach in the delightfully peaceful and rustic Village residential neighborhood.

The Inn offers six uniquely decorated suites, each one with its own sitting room, one or two bedrooms, and a private bath and cable television for your viewing pleasure. We welcome you to your suite with a carafe of California wine and fresh fruit and assorted goodies.

Each suite offers its own special ambiance, from the springtime freshness of the Lilac Time, with a brass Queen bed, to the tropical coolness of Green Palms with its emerald greens, white wicker and mystical aura of netting over the Queen bed. Or try the country crispness of Primrose Lane and Mockingbird Hill each appointed with a Queen bedroom and a Double bedroom. For old fashioned nostalgic atmosphere, try Home Sweet Home and for Oriental drama you will love Mandalay, they both have King size beds and a second room with two single beds. Whichever suite you select for your home away from home stay, the colonial charm of Carriage House is bound to add priceless memories to your visit to sunny Laguna Beach.

All of the suites surround its secluded brick courtyard where there is plenty of room to relax and read or nap amongst the tranquility of the colorful flowers, tropical foliage and the Crane fountain.

Breakfast is served family style each morning in "Grandma Bean's" dining Room, or you may wish to enjoy it outside in the courtyard under the trees. We make our own granola and muesli and also offer yogurts, toasting breads, juice, coffee & tea and always one of Lesley’s famous family recipes, freshly baked to excite your morning taste buds.

The Carriage House is located within easy walking distance to specialty shops, restaurants and art galleries. For those who prefer to ride, leave your car and ride the Transit bus from the stop across the street, schedules are available. The sunny beaches of the Pacific Ocean are easily accessed by steps down to the secluded coves, giving guests the chance to wiggle their toes in the sand and sea, watch the glorious sunsets and awe at the majestic waves greeting the shore.
